The Death of an Alter Ego

For plenty of reasons Harry Heller must die.
It is wrong to be on Facebook. Even when you are there pseudonymously, it is still wrong in so many ways—morally, psychologically, politically, economically. So Harry Heller, my alter ego on what has now become a shelter for many a man with terrible social skills, must be terminated. I don’t think I need to cite all the reasons here—some of them are fairly reasonable, I think, while the rest you my friends may find them indefensibly ridiculous—but I should make it clear that since the first day I heard of Fesbuk I have always been against it and anything it does for us all for free—like connecting you with the people you hate or hardly know; or turning everyone into annoying extroverts; and then feeding us with all the information we DO NOT WANT OR NEED TO KNOW. Yes, of course, you’re right, we are to blame for everything we do. So this blog—shall live, and prevail.

Killing the video to keep the radio star alive. Well I do hope you’d change your mind someday and bring him back. The gang isn’t the same without him. He’s like the fun side of you. Well we all have a fun side on facebook don’t we. :p
Anyway I’ll come over and bring some saraba and stuff. 😀

Being connected to people, even those you hate, seems to me a good thing—provided you can unsubscribe from their bile time and again. There is, however, no excuse for people turning into annoying extroverts. Do write a rant about insufferable online extroversion someday.
.
On you leaving, if this means discussing on Facebook walls will become less of a wholesale replacement for discussing on blogs, then that too is a good thing.

@all: I leave for many reasons, not only because Facebook is bad. Let’s just say that I wanna spend more of my time here.

woot, my ‘Madam Grace’s Bar’ will soon out of business if all facebookers are like you. I mean, c’mon, don’t you miss the time we randomly hijacked a thread and turned it to a galau one where we mock each other? *sigh*
