i am not sure if i should be happy or depressed knowing death is not the end. fear of death is so human. it’s something only humans do: fearing death. dogs get old but they hardly think of mortality. but life sucks and can be so painful sometimes. should we be happy if death is in fact the end of our agony? i have no idea what dylan is trying to say here. the song is undeniably beautiful. but the message is unclear. it just makes you think of all the questions that will never be answered. which is probably good. or not. i mean there is absolutely nothing comforting about death. so fuck you, dylan. just fuck you.

Suaranya sengau, malah jelek (kata temanku), nada gitarnya sederhana. Saya juga bingung dengar lagu-lagu Bob Dylan. Saya pikir, ini orang sadar atau mimpi pas bikin lagu. Tapi tak tahu, bisa menikmati itu, entah apa namanya.
